Using navigation PIN to protect your valuable GridID card is easy and simple. Better still, You can also use a password to protect your card.
GridID also uses the so-called Cardinal Direction system. The four cardinal directions are north, south, east and west.

           N          →          North
           S          →          South
           E          →          East
           W         →          West

Or, up, down, right and left

           U          →          Up
           D          →          Down
           R          →          Right
           L           →          Left

Use these direction codes, you can have a password such as:

          SEND

Which means:

          South → East → North → Down

You can mix these cardinal direction letters with the clock direction digits to create a password like:

          R2D2

Which means:

Right → Up Right → Down → Up Right

Further more, you can have NULL direction letters in your password! A NULL direction means the letter is ignored and skipped in navigation but it helps you to create a meaningful password. A NULL letter can be any alphabetic letter except those already used in the cardinal and clock direction systems.

With 10 numeric digits and 26 alphabetic letters at your disposal, you can now create a navigation password like:

          SECURE

Which means:

          South → East → (SKIP) → Up → Right → East
