If you are still using the legacy APPSSO service carried over from the old DualShield 5, then you must NOT upgrade to DualShield 8.

If you are upgrading a DualShield 5.x to the latest DualShield 8.x, then you must follow the guide below:

Upgrade DualShield 5 to DualShield 6 or later

If you are upgrading a DualShield 6.x or 7.x to the latest DualShield 8.x, then you must follow the guide below:

Upgrade DualShield 6 or later

After you have successfully upgraded your DualShield server software from 5.x, 6.x or 7.x to 8.x, then you can upgrade your DualShield framework (Tomcat and MySQL) to the latest update.
