DualShield MFA for Outlook Anywhere provides two options for MFA implementation, Zero Footprint (aka agent-less) and Addon (aka agent-based).
The agent-less option does not require end users to install any additional software on their PCs or laptops, but it only supports device ID as the second factor authentication method.
The agent-based option supports all types of credentials as the second factor authentication method, but it requires end users to install an Outlook Addon, the DualShield Outlook Agent software, on their PCs and workstations
