Prior to the installation, you must have the following items ready

1 - A Windows 2016/2019/2022 or a Linux server machine with 4GB+ RAM and 500MB+ free disk space

The server machine for the DualShield Connection Server can be a virtual machine and can also be shared with other applications.

2 - A Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) 

The DualShield Connection Server has to be accessible from the Internet by your users. therefore it must have a public IP address and a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)

3 - An SSL Certificate 

The DualShield Connection Server operates on HTTPS, therefore you need to provide a commercial SSL certificate for your DualShield Connection Server. 

4 - A Firewall Port 

As the DualShield Connection Server needs to be accessible by users from the Internet, you need to configure your firewall so that its service port is open. By default, the DualShield Connection Server operates on port 9443
