During a device's lifetime, for extra security, you can force the device to be periodically renewed by the user.

There are 3 options related to device renewal.

Renewal Time

The "Token Renewal Time" option specifies the time period (in hours) that a token should be renewed.

Renewal Notification Time

By default, token renewal is triggered reactively. The DualShield server will only send out a renewal notification when a device is trying to access the Exchange server and the device has passed its renewal time.

If you want the renewal notification to be sent out proactively, then you need to set the option "Token Renewal Notification Time" and enable to task "Token Renewal Notification Service"

The "Token Renewal Notification Time" specifies when the DualShield server should notify the user that a token is about to be renewed

Renewal Notification

The "Renewal Notification" option specifies how the renewal notification should be sent. There are 2 options

  • Send Renewal Notification to the user's DNA (DeepNet Authenticator) app
  • Send Renewal Notification to the user by email
