For extra security, you can force the device to have a limited lifetime.

There are 3 options related to device expiration.

Lifetime

The "Token Lifetime" option specifies the default lifespan in days of any newly created token. When a token has reached its lifespan, it is expired.

Expiry Notification Time

By default, token expiration is triggered reactively. The DualShield server will only check a device's expiration when the device is trying to access the Exchange server and the device has passed its lifespan time.

If you want the expiry notification to be sent out proactively, then you need to set the option "Expiration Notice" and enable to task "Token Notification Service"

The "Expiration Notice" specifies when the DualShield server should notify the user that a token is about to expire

Expiry Notification

The "Send Notice by" option specifies how the expiry notification should be sent. There are 2 options

  • Send Notification by Email
  • Send Notification by SMS

  • No labels
