DualShield MFA server can also be used to secure web applications that are running on a Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). In order to add an extra layer of multi-factor authentication (MFA), an IIS extension called DualShield IIS Agent needs to be installed on the IIS server. DualShield IIS Agent acts as the bridge that connects the Microsoft Internet Information Server and the DualShield Single Sign-On Server. Technically speaking, DualShield IIS Agent is also a SAML 2.0 Service Provider.
