If the logon client cannot connect to the logon agent, particularly in the scenario of offsite logon, then use the tool "clo-handshake" to test if the cause of the problem lies in the network configuration or in the application configuration.

You can leave the file in Downloads or move it to a different directory.  Just make a note of which directory it was moved to.


Open a Command Prompt and CD to the directory into which the CLO Handshake Executable has been placed.




Type the following.

>clo-handshake-x.x.xx dsagent.yourdomain.com 12841

(where x.x.xx equals the version number of the Handshake tool.  In this example, we are using 2.5.33, however a newer version may become downloadable at a future date.)

Make sure you type in the FQDN as specified in your DNS manager.  For example...


This is followed by the port number 12841

e.g.

(You will specify your own FQDN)

Press Enter

The tool will ping the agent connection...

Press Enter to quit.
