Please read this guide carefully if you plan to upgrade your current DualShield server to the latest version, DualShield 9.

DualShield 9 has been designed in such a way that you can directly upgrade any previous version of DualShield to the latest version 9.

If you are currently running DualShield 5, 6, or 7 and you are still using the legacy APPSSO service carried over from the old DualShield 5, then you must switch from APPSSO to SSO prior to uppgrading to DualShield 9.

Please note that the DualShield 9 installer will automatically upgrade the Java and Tomcat components it uses for operation, but it will not upgrade the MySQL database engine. To upgrade the MySQL database engine, you will need to run the DualShield framework upgrade after you have successfully upgraded successfully upgrading your DualShield server software to DualShield 9.
