The easiest way to use the Deepnet GridID is challenge and response. At logon, the DualShield Authentication Server generates a random challenge code which is a sequence of coordinates and requests the user to enter the letters at those coordinates as the logon password.
Step 1: The authentication server requests for letters at D2, G3, M4, W1
Step 2: The user locates the letters on their GridID card
Step 3: The user enters the letters as the login password
