SafeKey FIDO Bridge User Manual
SafeKey FIDO Bridge is a credential provider that lets you use FIDO2 security keys forpasskey authentication on Android via NFC.
Android has no native way to manage a security key's PIN or the passkeys stored on it, andno native way to use a passkey over NFC at all. SafeKey FIDO Bridge fixes that. It providesthe full CTAP2 protocol directly, so your key gains:
Install it, enable it as a passkey provider in your phone's settings, and use passkeysanywhere Android's Credential Manager is supported.

• PIN management, to set or change the PIN that gates passkey (resident credential) support on the device
• Full passkey management: view, create, and delete the passkeys stored on your security key
• Access to both PIN and full passkey management over USB-C and NFC
• The ability to actually sign in with a passkey over NFC on keys that aren't natively supported

Requires Android 14+ and a FIDO2-compatible security key or smartcard.
