Programmable hardware tokens can be used as an additional authentication method when logging on to Dashlane (the tokens act as a direct replacement for an authentication app on a mobile phone).
To use your programmable token as an authentication factor, first sign in to the your Dashlane account,, then use the "My account" dropdown to select the option "Settings" (see below);

From the list of options available from the settings menu select the option "Security settings"

In order to be able to use programmable hardware tokens as an authentication method when logging in to Dashlane, you will need to enable the option "2-factor authentication";

Enter you master password then click "Next";

You will now be asked how often the second factor will be presented when you log in.
To ensure maximum security, we suggest you select the option "Every time I log in to Dashlane", then click "Continue";

As a backup method of authentication, you will be asked to provide your mobile contact number.
Enter you contact number, then click "Continue";

The site will now generate a QR code that we can use to prepare the programmable token with;

You can use the QR code to program our programmable tokens using the instructions found in the following procedure;
Once you have programmed your token you will need to verify it with Dashlane.
Obtain a 6 digit code from your recently programmed token, then copy it to the Dashlane verification prompt (see below);

After you have supplied your 6-degit code you will be presented with a list of recovery codes (these can be used in the event of any issue with accessing your account using the second factor).
