Self-Service Activation

If the user has access to the self-service console they will be able to activate their own token after it has been registered.

They should see it as inactive in the self-Service Portal

They just need to click on Activate.

Click Activate


The status will change to Active


Grace Period Activation

If a Computer Fingerprint is required to access the Self-Service Portal a limited period of time is given to the end-user so they can still log on temporarily in order to activate the token.  This is known as a grace period.

To set this up, please follow Policy for Device Onboarding by Self Service


When the user attempts to log on the first time they will be presented with the following screen:


As long as they click on Verify during the grace period, they will be granted access to the Self-Service Console, so they can activate their DevicePass Token (see above).

Anytime after that, access will be denied and they will have to contact the DualShield administrator.
